Controlled Color
Proofs.
At Rodin Gravure, we have integrated GMG color proofing into our prepress workflow.
From equipment calibration to the first quality checks, our goal is to provide a reliable color reference for your packaging and label projects before flexographic plate production.

A Shared Reference
A color proof provides a common reference for the client, prepress team, and printer. It allows artwork, color shades, and gradients to be reviewed and the expected print result to be discussed before production begins.
Detailed visual inspection is complemented by colorimetric verification. The corresponding report documents the proof results and supports project approval, taking the intended printing conditions into account.

01
Initial Tests
Using color test charts and test images, we assess the reproduction of shades, gradients, and fine details. These initial tests support the setup and fine-tuning of our GMG proofing process.

02
Verification
Colorimetric verification measures deviations from the selected reference. For the proof dated January 28, 2026, the report recorded an average ΔE00 of 0.9 and a maximum of 2.0, with a “Passed” status.

03
Final Proof
The GMG color proof presents a simulated representation of the project based on the selected printing reference. It allows the packaging images and colors to be reviewed and any necessary adjustments to be discussed before flexographic plate production.

04
Traceability
Each proof is accompanied by a reference, a date, and quality-control results. This information links the proof to the relevant job and provides a record of the checks performed to support discussions and approvals.
